Hello parents as you all know Collins Elementary is one of the top AR schools in our district. Our students read almost more books than any other school in our district. To help us stay at the top we need to encourage our students to read and maintain their weekly goals. Every Monday morning we go to the Library
In my class room I have a system that is based on red, yellow and green. If your child is on
red they either haven't read or passed any tests. If they are on yellow that means they are half way to their goal. If they are on green they have met or exceed their goal. Every Thursday before lunch I do check to see what color they are on. If they are still on red they will go to the library to read and will not go outside to play. On Friday if they are on red or yellow they will go to the library to read as well.

Here's the AR website for you to check on how many points and if your child has met their goals.
